1.  For lowering BP & reducing edema ,a diuretic : inj Mannitol 100ml IV/TID


2. Optinueron : vitamin B12 supplimentation for neuritis


3. INJ. METHYL PREDNISOLONE 1G IN 100ML NS IV OVER 30 MIN : for control of inflammation


Case 3 // Hematology

Solutions

 1. Tab nicardia10mg tid for hypertension

2. Nebulisation with budecort and salbutomol 8th hrly for relief for plural effusion till it resolves.

3. Tab.lasix 40mg bd a potassium sparing  diuretic for decrease in plural effusion.


Case 4 // Nephrolog


Problems list 

1. Severely Decreased Hemoglobin level

2. Pedal edem

3. Hypertension

4. SOB

5. Diabetes


Solutions

1. Blood transfusion for the decreased hemoglobin levels.

2. Dialysis for diabetes

3. Diretic for Htn/ pedal edema

I haven't had the chance to make an elog since i did not have general medicine postings, but after having gone through an elog that my friend made this month, i wish to discuss a few things about it
